Mentor Program

Foster Growth and Expertise: PRPS Mentor Program

The PRPS Mentor Program is designed to enhance the skills and abilities of park and recreation professionals through engaging relationships with experienced professionals, increased opportunities to network, and educational opportunities designed especially for program participants.

The PRPS Mentor Program is designed to enhance new park and recreation professionals' skills and abilities by pairing them with seasoned professionals. The PRPS Mentor Program provides mentees with the chance to learn from their mentor's experiences along with educational and networking opportunities. The mentor/mentee relationship will provide both with the opportunity to learn, grow, and increase their skill set. Throughout the year, PRPS will coordinate opportunities for participants to network, meet, and learn together.

Mentors and Mentees will be matched based on various criteria, including experience, strengths, and location. The program is managed by PRPS and the PRPS Leadership Training Corps and is open to all PRPS members employed or enrolled in the field of Parks and Recreation. More information and the application can be found below
