Other Ways to Give
Bequest Giving
A gift in your will or a beneficiary gift through life insurance extends your love of recreation and this profession -- and often allows you to make an even bigger impact than you ever thought possible. Whether you give a set amount or a percentage of your estate, you can have an extraordinary, positive impact on parks and recreation for generations to come.
Please reach out to Molly, Director of Advancement, to make a plan. Gifts of any amount are welcome! (Watch for future upcoming information about a new Bequest Society!)
IRA Gifts or Donor Advised Funds
An IRA gift is a planned giving option that allows you to make a gift to PRPS without it counting as taxable income. A charitable individual retirement account (IRA) rollover is a wonderful option for people 70 ½ and older. That's because it allows you to make a gift to support the profession you love — from $100 to $100,000 — without the distribution counting as taxable income.
Also, a donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to PRPS. Please ask your financial advisor about these charitable options!
Memorial or Honor Gifts
Remember a friend, neighbor or loved one with a gift in his or her name. When an address is provided, a letter will be sent recognizing the gift on your behalf.

Collective Giving
Workplace Giving
Does your employer or your spouse/partner’s employer offer gift company matches for charitable giving? This doubles your donation!
Payroll Deductions Through EarthShare
One of the easiest ways to support the work of PRPS is through workplace deductions. Many corporate or municipal workplaces support payroll deductions through EarthShare, which manages workplace giving for environmental and recreational agencies across the country. If your workplace participates, you can designate a one time or per paycheck gift to PRPS!
Stock Gifts
Gifts of stock transferred to PRPS are also a great way to give! PRPS does not maintain the stocks but will sell them for a cash donation. Please ask for more information!
