The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Recreation Supervisor to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing community events, ensuring their success through planning, coordination, and on-site supervision. The annual salary range is $64,483 to $93,687 with a hiring salary range of $64,483 to $81,591 commensurate with prior recreation, youth programming, volunteerism, and/or relevant experience, paid vacation and city holidays, a traditional pension, excellent fringe benefits, and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities include leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of community events that engage all ages, management of recreation programs, facility operations, and supervision of employees and volunteers, overseeing recreational programs such as fitness classes, arts and crafts classes, camps, and special interest programs. Candidates should bring creativity, leadership, and strong organizational skills to foster vibrant community connections. A bachelor's degree in recreation administration/leadership or a related field is preferred, along with training or certifications in recreation, event management, youth programming, or volunteer coordination.
