Recreation Director – Borough of Camp Hill
The Borough of Camp Hill is seeking a Recreation Director to lead our vibrant Recreation Department to provide engaging programs, events, and activities for our residents. Camp Hill is a dynamic, community-focused Borough, and our parks and recreation facilities—including natural areas, a multi-use stadium, a pool, and indoor activity spaces—are a great source of pride for residents.
Position Overview
The Recreation Director will design and implement creative programs that maximize the use of our facilities. This role includes organizing volunteers, collaborating with the Camp Hill School District, energizing community groups, and seeking sponsorships to bring big ideas to life. We are looking for an energetic, positive, and dynamic leader who can carry our programs into the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and oversee community-wide programs, events, and children’s camps
- Manage Recreation Department seasonal staff and volunteers
- Collaborate with the School District, civic organizations, and sports clubs
- Identify and secure sponsorships, grants, and partnerships
- Monitor program effectiveness and community engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks Management, Education, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in recreation management or municipal programming
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to engage community members and foster partnerships
