As a part of a dynamic team, you will play a significant roll in moving our Wild About Learning program forward and educate the community on the importance of becoming future stewards of our natural world. In this role you will:

  • Schedule Wild About Learning sessions with classroom teachers.
  • Plan and lead educator training sessions.
  • Teach Wild about Learning classes.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Education Manager on surveys and reports.
  • Maintain records.
  • Maintain inventory, order and prepare supplies.
  • Prepare for and teach school programs as needed.
  • Prepare for and teach summer camp programs as needed.
  • Guide and mentor interns assigned to your summer camp group. 

To be successful you will need: 

·   Two years’ teaching experience.

·   BS/BA or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

·   Ability to work independently and within a team.

·   Microsoft Office skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Administrative experience a plus.
  • Basic Spanish communication a plus.
  • Willingness to train on and handle wildlife.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to deal professionally with all customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident during rapidly changing situations.
  • Ability to lift twenty-five pounds.
  • Current CPR/ First Aid and AED Certification or willingness to obtain is required.
  • Current or willingness to obtain; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Criminal History Clearance is required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary range $40,000 - $45,000/yearly ($19.23 - $21.63/hourly)
