Job Title: Recreation Program Coordinator

Department: Parks and Recreation

Reports to: Director of Parks and Recreation

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $45,000-$55,000

 

The Recreation Program Coordinator is responsible for planning a variety of community recreation programs for youth, adults, senior citizens, and families. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•      Plans and directs an expanding flexible program of year-round recreational activities and special events.

•      Develops promotional materials, such as flyers and newsletters.

•      Recruits, trains and supervises program staff including volunteers.

•      Schedules facility usage.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO PERFORM WORK

•      Knowledge of recreation programming principles and best practices.

•      Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

•      Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

•      Superb customer service skills.

 EDUCATION/TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

This position must possess and/or maintain the following at minimum throughout employment.

A.   Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or similar field

B.   Valid PA Driver’s License Class C
