Course Details:
The CPO (Certified Pool Operator) program is recognized worldwide as the gold standard for the swimming pool industry and is an assurance to pool and spa owners that their facilities and guests are under the care of a trained professional. The program will provide individuals with the knowledge, techniques, and skills required for proper pool operations. Over 400,000 students have been trained since 1972. This course also qualifies for PA Dept. of Agriculture Pesticide Recertification training for Swim Pools (6 Core and 4 Category 24 credits).

The Fusion CPO Certification Course is unique, and offers participants the freedom to advance at their own pace and convenience. Upon registration, you will receive the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook through the mail and access to eight (8) interactive online modules (6-8 hours) that will guide you through the material. After completing the modules, participants will attend a one-day online session with the instructor. This session consists of an intensive review in the morning and a proctored exam in the afternoon. All modules need to be completed at least 24 hours prior to the exam; please note that no refunds are provided if you fail to complete the modules or attend the course. Completion of the modules, as well as passing the test, will earn the participant certification as a CPO. The CPO certification is valid for five years.

The Fusion course is best for self-guided learners and people who prefer to take the course from the comfort of their office or home and do not have the time to spend two complete days away. The course will cover information on proper pool maintenance and safety, including;
• Identifying and correcting safety hazards
• Properly addressing accidents and emergencies.
• Addressing local and state regulations
• Maintaining disinfection and water balance
• Effectively managing water problems
• Troubleshooting, chemical testing, and record keeping
• Managing chemical feeds
• Utilizing automation and technology
