Tim Herd , CPRE, PRPS CEO, Tim Herd will give an update on current events in the Parks and Recreation Field., key highlights from the 2018 Leadership Summit and have some discussion regarding concerns and desires in your department.
Rebecca Auchter, CSFM Advanced Turf, Rebecca Auchter is a graduate of Ohio Univerity with a degree in Turfgrass Management. Her experience began in the golf sector and has expended to include the management of two higher education campuses as well as parks and athletic fields in a municipal setting. She is currently a Sports Turf Managers Association and a Certified Playground Safety Inspector.
Park Maintenance Planning: This session will include mapping, defining levels of service for each are of park maintenance and the use of checklists for evaluation. Additionally, labor tracking and athletic field use planing will be included in the presentation.
Aerification and Seeding for Sports Turf: This session will focus on BMP's for both aerification and seeding of sports turf. The practices discussed will progress from low-budget multi-purpose fields up through highly maintained stadium athletic ??ields.
Mary Beth Birks, Cranberry Township, Kids Club Coordinator Ratios, Matter: Parks and Recreation Programs, Events and Camps This session will include discussion regarding ratios in programming related to weekly programs, special events or summer camps. And discuss the challenges associated with ratios and IEP.
