Meeting people in a sea of new faces at a conference can be daunting! Attending meetings or socials to broaden your local connections can too. This session will teach important personal, face to face networking skills so you can be energized to meet new people and make new contacts! This session is great for everyone to help you feel confident about the way you meet people, whether you are just starting or need a refresher. Session will focus on how to network in both professional and social settings, plus techniques for making a great first impression, introducing yourself, feeling confident in interacting with strangers, and making connections as soon as you enter a room. You will leave this fun, energy-filled session with a new excitement and confidence for networking!
Business Etiquette & Professional Communication

In today’s changing workplace, having proper business etiquette and professional communication is essential to get a job, make a great impression, and stay current. The business professional practices for communication are changing but a combination of traditional etiquette and new technology are still needed. This session is particularly great for newcomers to the profession and recent college graduates. We’ll cover topics including professional appearance and demeanor, face-to-face communications, mobile manners, meals, and meetings. Also includes proper use of email, text, business letters, and phone calls to communicate in business situations.
Customer Service Excellence

Excellent Customer Service is vital to creating strong relationships with customers and maintaining a positive image as part of the community for recreation and parks agencies. Expectations of customer service are changing and the prevalence of social media puts us in the spotlight.
This program can be an introduction for new staff and a boost of energy for current staff. Training includes Customer Service overview and delivery steps for customer care, the impact and importance of great customer service, how to work with an upset customer, internal customer service and working as a team, plus staff motivations and the role of attitude in working with customers. Staff will leave the session feeling energized to make a positive impact with their customers and have take-aways to share with their peers.
