Park and Pool ManagerThe Borough of Zelienople and the Community Park Association are seeking a professional Park and Pool Manager to administer and oversee the safe operation and maintenance of the Zelienople Community Park. The Park facility includes a newly constructed swimming pool scheduled to open in 2019, concession stand, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters, playgrounds, walking trails, amphitheater and open green spaces. Plans for a new, innovative Skate park, scheduled to begin construction summer 2019 are being finalized. The Park and Pool Manager will supervise and work in conjunction with the Park Activities Director and participate in all park events, programs and fundraisers. Position requires a flexible work schedule. Regular hours are Monday – Friday 8-4:30, but flexible due to the nature of the position, seasonal operation hours and varies by season. Weekend, evenings and some holiday hours will be expected as appropriate. Consistent operating hours for the park office must be maintained throughout the year as approved by the Park Board of Directors. The position requires excellent organizational, diplomatic, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and provides a good deal of latitude for exercising independent judgment while under the direction of the Borough manager and park board directors. Key Responsibilities • Oversight and management of swimming pool, concession stand, all park facilities, building and grounds o Employee recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, daily supervision, and performance management and evaluation of all park employees. o Maintain proper health and safety standards in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to swimming pool, playground, concession stand and public space operations o Manage and coordinate all shelter rentals, ball field, playground and community requests for park facility scheduling. o Office management to include A/R, A/P, bookkeeping, payroll, newsletter, Social Media, website maintenance, meeting minutes o Responds to community inquires and/or complaints and participates in park crisis management situations such as major snow storms, flooding, disasters, or loss of power or inadequate staffing levels. o Works with local non-profits, school district, church groups, community organization and PRPS o Develop and coordinate a strong volunteer program to assist in events and programs. o Swim team management Necessary Skills and Qualifications o CPO certified Required o CPR, First Aid, AED certifications Required o Criminal background, Credit and Child Protective Services checks Required o Bachelor’s degree required o Previous Leadership and Management experience preferred o Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Quick Books preferredzelienoplecommunitypark@gmail.comZelienople PA. 160631/25/2019
