2019 Student Poster Sessions!

PRPS is excited to offer Student Poster Sessions as a new feature at the 2019 Annual Conference & Expo at The Penn Stater Conference Center in State College. Students can apply to share their research or programming project during one of two timeslots on Wednesday, April 3. This unique event not only showcases students hard-work but creates an exciting networking opportunity with top experts in the field of parks and recreation from across Pennsylvania!

Students must be full-time, junior or senior level students at a Pennsylvania college or university.
Students selected to participate will receive a 50% discount off the Wednesday daily registration.

DEADLINE for applications is March 1! All applicants will be notified of status in early March.

Delores M. Andy Scholarship

Consists of registration, meals and lodging for a Temple student at the Annual PRPS Conference.

John H. (Jack) Jones Memorial Scholarship
Consists of registration, meals, and lodging at the Annual Conference.

Larry G. Williamson Scholarship

Consists of registration, meals, and lodging at the Annual Conference. This scholarship is only available to Pennsylvania State University students.

Robert W. Crawford Memorial Scholarship

Consists of registration, meals, and lodging at the Annual Conference, plus a $500 scholarship.

Buzz D. Tyson Scholarship

Consists of registration, meals, and lodging at the Annual Conference. This scholarship is only available to Lock Haven University students. For more information, please email Buzz Tyson.

Outstanding Young Professional Scholarship
David Milliren, a PRPS member, has made a generous contribution to establish the Outstanding Young Professional Scholarship. This award recognizes and supports a young professional by covering $500 of the recipient's expenses to attend the PRPS conference. Candidates must meet be a Parks and Recreation professional, working in the field for three years or less. 

To apply, submit a resume and two letters of recommendation from a professional supervisor or colleague to Tracy Robert. Applications will be judged and a selection made by the PRPS Community Branch Executive Committee. The recipient will be notified by phone.
