What is Get Outdoors PA?
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources developed Get Outdoors PA to further engage state park and forest visitors in outdoor recreation programming while imparting a stewardship message.
Since 2004, Get Outdoors PA programs have helped people safely experience new activities including snowshoeing, camping, kayaking, fishing and more. In 2013, this popular program was launched in local parks to include partners like you. The need for healthy, guided outdoor recreation goes well beyond state park and forest borders. It is needed in every community across the state. Become a Community Partner today, visit Get Outdoors PA!
PRPS has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Parks and Forest Foundation to administer the program.
